I'm On Pause Patty Belanger
PATTY BELANGER, a long-time New Englander, was raised in many places, traveling with her military parents and her three siblings. They grew up enjoying the outdoors in one simple way: camping. Summers meant tents every weekend, and vacations were spent camping deep in the wilderness of Maine.
Upon retiring from the military, her family settled in New Hampshire where she met her husband, another military man. They have lived in New Hampshire for the past 32 years, raising their two children, a son and daughter, who both enlisted in the United States Air Force. Veterans Day is very meaningful to their family.
Thanks to her mother, Belanger’s family was blessed with creative talent. She has always been a crafty and creative type, more so than career-driven – she’d rather be painting. Always appreciating the fun and optimistic side of life led her down the road to creating this book of poetry. She just started one day, and it took on a life of its own, blossoming into a work that she wanted to share with her fellow baby boomers.
